Website design completed for local business in Halifax

Website design for local business in Halifax

Client is super happy with the graphic design for their new website

Today was a good day at the office, as they say. Going back a few weeks, and through word of mouth, I was asked to call someone local in Halifax to discuss the idea of her husband having his own website designed and built. I obviously jumped at the opportunity and gave them a call. It wasn’t long before we had built up a rapport and we agreed to meet up in the Halifax local area to discuss the website design.

At the meeting, I collated the brief. We discussed in detail several design ideas and functionality the website should have. Such as;

  • A blog section to add regular news.
  • A portfolio section to showcase recent work carried out.
  • Integration with social accounts (such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc).
  • 3 main sections to relate to the sectors the business works in (Home, Garden and Commercial projects).
  • Use of organic colours.
  • The use of butterfly’s within the design process.
  • Newsletter sign up.
  • Option to download a PDF brochure.
  • Contact form to request a quote (including asking for specific information).
  • The website will work on mobile phones.
  • Testimonials.

The screen show below shows the top section of the new website design. You can view the full website design layout by clicking the link at the bottom of this post.

Graphic Design Halifax

But, before the graphics for the website design could be started, June & Craig needed help purchasing a domain name, setting up email accounts and getting a business logo for their letterheads. I was more than happy to assist. I worked in Halifax doing IT since I left school. Plus I’d worked in the website design space for over 12 years now. So was more than able to do some of the technical stuff too.

I quickly helped with suggestions to where to purchase their domain name and provided step by step instructions on how to create email addresses. Then I got to work on designing a number of different website logo variations.

Many of the photos I received from the client where in the garden and working with beautiful garden rooms. So I concentrated working with greens, browns & yellows. Once I’d completed a set of logo graphic designs I sent them across and waiting for a response.

It didn’t take long before the winner was announced ūüôā What do you think?

Graphic Design Logo for a local business

The client was over the moon with the final logo. And wanted to get the logo as quick as possible to add to their email signatures and letter heads. So I created files for them to use online and for print.

Once the logo was ticked off the list, as well as the domain name purchase and email accounts setup, I got to work on the page design for the website. Click to view the full website design layout.

Do you have a new business venture that needs a new website design? Or a logo for your letterheads? Or even getting started with purchasing a domain to get your business emails setup? Then Get in touch and I would be more than happy to help.

Thanks Tony.
