At the time of writing this case study (30th April 2020), I thought I would search for ‘hand crafted doors halifax’ to see where the website was ranked in Google. The result was fantastic. At the top of page 1! Try for yourself: https://www.google.com/search?q=hand+crafted+doors+halifax
Lower down the Google results page, 3 of the 4 images showing for ‘hand crafted door halifax’ were from Judith & Peter’s website too! Happy result! 🙂
The client was over the moon with the design and it exceeded their expectations. To be honest, it wasn’t hard after seeing their original website!
As part of the agreement with the couple, I suggested moving away from Squarespace. As good as they make it out to be, it has very limited functionality.
I set them up with a new web hosting account with SiteGround. I 100% recommend them. I’ve used many web hosts over the years. All boasting to be the best, but until you use them, you soon find out there servers are overloaded, their customer support is terrible, or just not reliable enough to keep the websites online.
I also transferred their domain name to SiteGround from GoDaddy. Don’t get me started on GoDaddy! A nightmare of a process to transfer the domain away from them. Got there in the end.
On top of everything else, I also set them up with their business email addresses. I setup all their Google accounts needed so they can track website visitors, ensure their website was properly indexed and found properly in local searches.
